Safety Plan
A safety plan is a personalised tool designed to help you stay safe during times when you may be feeling overwhelmed, distressed, or at risk of harming yourself. It helps you recognise early warning signs, identify strategies that have helped you in the past, and plan practical steps to reduce risk when thoughts feel intense. The plan also includes details of trusted people and professional services you can contact for support, as well as clear guidance on what to do in an emergency. Completing a safety plan in advance can help you feel more prepared, more in control, and more able to reach safety when things feel difficult.
